It was a cool opportunity for Notre Dame to play a football game in Fenway Park in 2015. The NHL had provided a basic template for in-venue signage with their Winter Classic game a few years before. The theme of our presentation was to show our respect for this historic, iconic venue while still creating the feel of a Notre Dame homegame within it, so our graphics were heavily inspired by that green-and-white basic template of the ad elements and other graphics familiar to any Red Sox fan in the normal baseball set up of Fenway Park.

This is the field design for the event. As you can see from "Concept L", we went through several concepts to arrive at the final design. Note that the Red Sox inspired baseball style font that was central to the event logo concept carries through to the endzones and even to the field numbers.

Everything that we could design we tried to design including these fan barricade covers which allowed us to give prominent position to our event title sponsor Sprint. 

On game days, Boston closes some of the streets around Fenway and turns them into pedestrian malls. Banners such as this hang over the street marking gate entrances to the stadium.

Baseball fans familiar with Fenway will recognize the A.L. East standings section of the Green Monster Score Board. We decided early on to turn this element into a visual history of the Shamrock Series Game which has taken Notre Dame Football to an off-site venue for a "home game" each season since 2009.
